Very high quality and regret you will certainly not have it once you have it in use. Vibram soles are a must for the true mountain fan. In this article we explain to you what the soles stand for and where you can use it for.

Where is it from?
Vibram is founded in 1935 by the Italian Vitale Bramani. After six friends of Vitale died during a mountain tour due to unsuitable footwear, the Italian took steps. He came up with a shoe sole that makes climbing in the mountains safer. A few years after the invention, the patent on the rubber sole was established.

What does a Vibram sole give?
Grip-resistant and durable: The soles are designed to give an excellent grip on the widest range of surfaces. In addition, the sole is made of volcanic rubber, which gives it a high degree of wear resistance. Long mountain tours, winter sports or colder months, this sole is made for it.

Where can I find it?
As described above, Vibram is "built to last and protect". For this reason Vibram can often be found under high end snowboard boots and the more robust sneaker or hiking shoe.
At Behind The Pines we have ThirtyTwo and K2 snowboard boots with the respective sole. The Danner and Clae brands have a Vibram sole for the shoes.
